TiLT/Things I Love Thursday

Hi everyone!
I hope you're all feeling fantastic.
:)

I've seen TiLT posts everywhere lately, so I thought I'd give it a try.

Here we go...
My 1st TiLT: Things I Love Thursday.

I really hope you'll join me in doing these.  They are so fun and uplifting!

My Kitties
I love absolutely everything about them.
They are hilarious, no matter what they are doing!

Phone shopping with my Mom
I specifically do this only with my Mom.  She is my favorite person to shop with, and we find ways to shop together even if we're not together.
It's super fun! (And I completely trust her advice.)

My UGGS!!
I know that Uggs get hated on a lot.
But, I adore my Uggs!  I even affectionately call them my Ugglies. ;)
They are the only boots that keep me warm all Fall/Winter long in Michigan, and they usually last me a good 2 years.

Dark nail polish for Fall
Not only do I love love looooove Fall, but I love all the cute Fall clothes, and the nail polish-- Eeee!!
This one is a really dark eggplant color.

Vintage swiped/borrowed Pieces
I've always been fascinated with people's old clothes.  Growing up, I've collected garments from my mom, dad, and even my grandma!
This sweater is my mom's.  She bought it when she was 18!  She told me she can still remember the day she bought it.
:)

And there you have it... my 1st TiLT!!

What are some of the things you love??

I hope you're having a fabulous Thursday!

Lots of Love,
Yasi

Date Night--for One!

This time, last year, was exactly one week before our wedding.  There were so many parties to go to, and so many last minute things to do.  It was exciting!  Next week, J has something special planned for our one year anniversary.  And I am so looking forward to it.  I have no idea what he has planned, but, I can't wait!

Even though we are now married, J and I enjoy some time apart.  I love him more than one person could love another, but I still cherish my "Me Time".  In fact, I think it's healthy to have time by yourself, regardless of your relationship status.  So, this weekend, J is at a friend's cabin in Northern Michigan, and I'm home by myself.

I'm having a Date Night, Just For Me edition.

I spent the morning chatting with friends, catching up on each others' lives, and setting up times to meet up.  I spent the afternoon hanging out with my cats and going through my closet.  I would say "cleaning out", but yeah, that didn't happen.  Because, I realized that there was no way I could put anything away
-- I planned on wearing EVERYTHING soon.  Right?  Riiiiight? ;)

And around 7 pm, I poured myself a glass of delicious red wine (Sangiovese),
put on my Domestic Diva (!!) apron, and cooked a scrumpdiliumptious chicken stir fry.

What can I say, Perfect Date Night,
For One.

Cuddling with my baby panther.
I love him so much!

This dress was one of my purchases from last Sunday.
And it was only $25.  Great deal--I love it!

I'm really digging lace lately...

This ring is pretty old.  I bought it at a random store at the mall when I was in my late teens.
But, turquoise *always* works.

A chunky necklace I bought at a local grocery store, a few years back.

Ready to cook!

Looks delish, right?

Ta Da!
Dinner, for one.

(P.S.  I LOVE I Love Lucy)

Crème de la crème

After not shopping for a few months, I woke up last Sunday morning just itching to shop.
I wasn't looking for anything in particular.  I just wanted to lose myself in racks of amazing clothing and accessories!

I opted to wear something cute, but easy to change in and out of.

The shopping trip turned out to be a huge success!  I bought a new VS bra, a cute shirt, a couple of skinny belts, and a lace dress from Forever 21.  I can't wait to share them with you!
:)

Button down shirt- Forever21
Black flats- Boutique in L.A.
Turquoise ring- Bought on our honeymoon in Aruba

Spring Fling!

Every once in a while, when I'm shopping, something really catches my eye.

That's exactly what happened when I saw these scalloped lace shorts at Forever21,
I just had to have them.

You can see why, below
...
They are to die for!
:)

What I love about these shorts is that they are so feminine (almost skirt-like!),
yet they are very easy to wear and pair.

Throw on a a simple tank,
a long cardi,
a dainty pair of flats,
and some accessories
...

...
and you're all set for a fabulous Spring day!

Easter fun!

J and I have a tradition of spending Easter with his family.
Our Easter weekends usually include going out the night before, and spending Easter day gorging ourselves on delicious home-made food and desserts.

J's mom even gives each of us Easter baskets.
(Yes, we're all in our mid to late 20's.)
;)

Pretty awesome, right?!

Not sure what I'm doing here.
Haha!

End of the night
:)

My Easter outfit

I absolutely adore the floral detail of this cardigan.
It's soft and feminine, and perfect for Spring.

Do you still get Easter baskets?  (And more importantly, can you control yourself from eating the contents in one sitting?)

Cutting it off

So, remember a while back when I was devastated because I had to cut my hair short in order to fix a terrible haircut?

Well, I'd say I'm really over that now!

I've become absolutely fascinated with playing with shorter hairstyles and I've been craving new haircuts monthly.  My mom thinks I'm certifiably insane, but I love it.  Before, I had a habit of utilizing my long hair as a security blanket.  But, now that it's gone I've become much more experimental with my fashion and stylistic choices.  It's so fun to get to switch up my hairstyles and my 'look', and it has actually given me a certain playful confidence. :)

So, now for the fun stuff...

Guess what I did yesterday?

!

I love it!

How do you like your hair--long, short, shaved ;) ?

Have you ever had a transformative haircut?
Was it good or bad?

April showers bring... polka dots!

Hello?  Sun?
Where did you go?

Contrary to last weekend, the weather this weekend is wet, sloppy, and COLD.

So, last night, while getting dressed for a dinner and movie date with the hubs, I decided that if Spring wasn't going to come to me, I'd come to it.

A pair of blue boots, a polka dotted skirt, and a bright yellow bag later,
I think I accomplished what I had set out to do. ;)

High-waisted polka dot skirt- Forever 21
 Boots- Journey's

Retro Lovin'

Every once in a while my fashion taste does a complete 180.
Not only are these changes in taste unexpected, but they make my love for fashion and style that much stronger and infinitely more fun.

So, what am I in love with now?

colorful belts
skinny jeans with espadrilles

Voila!
